What is better than a stocked freezer full of locally raised beef? Your beef will come directly from Diamond B Ranch located in Middle Tennessee. The cattle are raised on lush, plentiful pastures and are finished on grain feed. Once they are the desired weight, they are brought into the processing plant where they will dry-age for 21 days. Dry aging is a process where the meat hangs, allowing for drip loss and for enzymes to break down fibers. This creates a more tender and flavorful piece of meat.
After that process, the meat will be cut to your specifications. A member of our team from the Ranch will be in contact with you before cutting begins to go over the cut sheet and answer any questions you may have. At that time, a pickup time will be scheduled.
A half beef is $5.85/lbs. and a full beef is $5.79/lbs. which is charged on the animal's hanging weight. The estimated price is between $2,000 and $2,950 for half and $4,200 and $5,500 for full. which is based on an estimated animal hanging weight of 350 and 500 lbs for half and 800 to 930 for a full animal. Once it is weighed, we will charge you the final price minus the deposit. You will receive a receipt for the final charge.
The estimated take-home weight in pounds of meat is 200-250 for half and 400 to 500 pounds for Full, approximately.
The meat will be vacuum sealed so that you can enjoy everything for over a year like it was on the day you picked it up. It maintains freshness for over 12+ months in the freezer.
Diamond B Ranch recommends freezer space of 1 cubic foot for 25 pounds of meat.
Please note, you are purchasing a deposit by buying this product at $500 for half and $800 for full. Once your deposit is made, you will then be in the queue. It may take up to 9 weeks before the beef is ready to pick up. We do not offer shipping currently. But it will be in the future.
Please bring your own coolers for meat pick up. Also Box pricing will be available in the near future.
